Frequently Asked Questions

We have a small commercial bakery in the north Charlotte area that has been inspected and licensed by the North Carolina Department of  Agriculture. Click on “Where to Buy” for more details on where we sell our products.

If you are going to eat the bread within the next day, simply leave the bread in the plastic bag it came in on your counter.  For best results, warm your bread for 5 minutes or so in a 350 degree oven. If you are going to keep your bread longer than a day or two, it freezes excellently. Simply freeze the uneaten portion, let thaw at room temperature slightly, then warm back up the rest of the way in the oven (350 degrees).
Just remember, the microwave and the refrigerator are bread’s two worst enemies!

We use an artisan bread flour that comes from Vermont. The flour we use is GMO-free, unbleached, unbromated, no chemicals, no additives, nothing extra… just a good, high quality flour.

We deliver to our wholesale customers in the greater Charlotte area.  For answers to specific questions about larger, custom orders, please fill out our form on the “Wholesale” page, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Currently, we are working with a sourdough blend for our whole wheat and multigrain loaves.   We are always trying to develop new recipes and ideas, so be sure to check out our Facebook page for updates!  Regarding gluten-free products, we use a LOT of wheat flour in our facility, so truly “gluten-free” anything would not be possible.

Unless they contain cheese, ALL of our sourdough breads are vegan-friendly.   Our products are clearly labeled so that you can make the best choice for your diet.  Currently, our cinnamon rolls, pretzels and cookies contain dairy products.

Absolutely! We love working with area restaurants to develop whatever product you might be looking for. We have a strong relationship with a number of area eateries and are proud of what local chefs have done with our products.  Visit our “Wholesale” page for more information.

Most likely we sold out! We try our hardest to have fresh bread at every market we have committed to, but sometimes we just can’t make it due to unforeseen circumstances (car trouble, illness, etc.). If we know ahead of time that we will not be at market on a certain day, we will do our best to give as much notice as possible via Facebook posts and signs at market during the week prior.  You can always stop by one of our area retailers to pick up a loaf.  We recommend calling them for stock levels and availability.  Check out our “Where to Buy” section for a list of stores.

Yes, actually EVERYTHING we make is nut-free.  We have an entirely nut-free facility that we bake all of our products in.
